Boundless Love in Action
Liberation in Practice

Sacred Altar

A sacred space of offering and prayer, where we hold those experiencing grief, loss, sorrow, or despair in heartfelt compassion. May the merit of our practice be dedicated to the healing and liberation of all beings. With utmost sincerity, we pay homage to the Buddhas, the bodhisattvas, and the stream of all our ancestral and spiritual teachers.

who we Be

Rooted in the Dharma and the wisdom of our ancestors, teachers, and Mother Earth, we embody Liberation in Practice and Boundless Love in Action within Beloved Community.
We live this through presence: tending the land, harvesting in right relationship, gathering as community, and sharing meals that sustain body and spirit.
Through these rhythms of care, we walk in the spirit of shared resources, nurturing collective well-being.
We bow to the land as both teacher and kin, that all beings may be nourished, restored, and flourish together.

what & how we Do

Our practice moves with the rhythms of life, the land, and our community. We gather weekly in meditation, Dharma reflection, chanting, and shared presence. Each month we deepen together in a Community Day of Mindfulness. Each year we return to our Emancipating Hearts & Minds and Cultivating Seeds of Stillness retreats.

Our Freedom Library carries forward the legacy of the Civil Rights era Freedom Libraries, sanctuaries where access to knowledge could not be denied. Dharma texts sit beside world religions, banned books, and works of well-being, each chosen to nurture wisdom, liberation, and healing.

Our Silence of the Roots Garden and Apothecary is rooted in plant-based wellness, reciprocity, and care. We honor the Earth, remember our interconnectedness, and cultivate plant medicine with reverence, tending the garden as healer and teacher for body and mind.

Sangha in da Streets is our practice off the cushion, moving into everyday life through walking meditation, earth-touching practices, cultural gatherings, and shared care wherever the need arises. We tend to each moment with mindfulness and compassionate action.

We practice in ways that are culturally grounded and relational, guided by our community’s needs and inviting new ways of being and knowing.

Beloved Community

Sangha House affirms the sacred truth that all beings are worthy of life, dignity, and the fullness of their becoming. Rooted in the Dharma, we walk a path of liberation that returns us to our true selves through presence, interbeing, and the knowing that freedom is possible in the very here and now.

Our community is held by Venerable Clear Grace Dayananda in shared stewardship with our Core Group—guided by our Wisdom Circles, strengthened through the Ujamaa Collaborative, and sustained by the daily life of our wider community.

We honor and welcome all beings in their wholeness. Especially those who have carried the weight of injustice, disconnection, and systemic harm, listening deeply to their truths and letting their wisdom shape our shared path.

We recognize the land and the planet itself as part of our community, alive, storied, and in constant conversation with us.

Cultivate Community

Sangha is not built alone. It means beloved community. If you feel called to walk alongside us through giving, volunteering, gathering, collaborating, or sharing your own gifts, there are many ways to be part of this living sanctuary.

Whether offering dāna, joining an event, hosting a practice, lending your skills, helping with outreach, providing resources, or simply staying connected, this is an invitation to tend the soil with us. Your presence, energy, and generosity sustain the rhythms of care, practice, and connection that allow our Sangha to flourish.

Sangha Tea

A Cup of Mindfulness, cultivating community and connection. What’s the Tea? An invitation to witness the everyday rhythm impact, testimonials, and deep heart of those in the Sangha.

Your Presence Matters

Whether you come to sit, to serve, to study, or to share a meal, your presence helps shape the Beloved Community.
