Over three days\, we will journey to ancestral lands for deep looking\, silent meditation\, and the practice of bearing witness. Through sitting and walking meditation\, Noble Silence\, and contemplative reflection\, we will touch the stillness that liberates the heart and reconnect with the Earth as teacher and kin. \nThis retreat honors the truth that freedom is not something we attain but something we remember. We are already free. The work is removing what obscures this knowing. \nWhat to Expect\nSilent Deep Looking Practice\nWe hold Noble Silence throughout the retreat\, creating space for deep listening to ourselves\, each other\, and the land. \nAncestral Land Pilgrimage\nWe will visit sacred sites and ancestral lands\, practicing Earth-touching meditation and honoring the wisdom of those who came before. \nGuided Meditation & Contemplation\nSitting and walking meditation\, dharma reflection\, and practices for cultivating presence\, ease\, and clarity. \nBearing Witness\nWe sit with what is\, without fixing or turning away\, allowing transformation to emerge through presence. \nCommunity & Solitude\nPractice alone together\, held by the container of sangha while honoring each person’s individual journey. \nWho This Retreat Is For\nThis retreat welcomes practitioners of all levels who are called to: \n\nDeepen meditation practice through extended silence\nConnect with ancestral wisdom and land-based practice\nPractice bearing witness to suffering and joy\nRemember their inherent wholeness and freedom\n\nEstimated Costs:\nTravel & Transportation: \n\nVan/Bus Charter (roundtrip): $800-1\,200\n\nHotel Accommodations: \n\n10 rooms × 2 nights (double occupancy): $2\,000-3\,000\nMeeting/practice space rental: $500-800\n\nMeals & Beverages: \n\n3 meals/day × 3 days × 20 people: $900-1\,200\n\nProgram Costs: \n\nAudio/visual equipment: $150\nProgram materials: $100\n\nOperating Expenses: \n\nInsurance: $300\nSafety supplies: $100\nCleaning supplies: $50\n\nStaffing: \n\nTeacher/facilitator stipends: $800\nSupport staff: $400\n\nContingency: \n\nReserve fund: $300.\n\nInvestment & Accessibility\nSuggested Donation: $450\nWe practice generosity as a path to liberation.
