New Orleans's first Black Buddhist temple is opening its doors, and you're invited! Join us on

August 17th, 2024, at 3 PM CST for a day of inspiration, culture, and community.

Event Highlights:

Invocation/Prayer Ceremony: Bless the space with a powerful and unifying invocation.

Live Art and Dance Performances: Experience vibrant Afro-indigenous and Black culture.

Welcoming of Venerable Dayananda: Officially welcome our founder and abbess to New Orleans.

Kids’ Corner: Children under 12 eat free and enjoy activities and entertainment.

Mindful Meal: Enjoy delicious plant-based meals by Cakes Cones Cuisines.

Ujamaa Collaborative: Network with local Black businesses and advocates.

Backyard Celebration: Relax and party with the Sangha!

Entry Fee: $25 donation

Donations of $50 or more will receive a wholistic care package

(Sea moss/Wholistic Body Butter/Vitamin & Mineral Snacks & More)

Meals are free for children under 12.

Contributions support the temple’s mission and future events.

Donations: We welcome monetary donations through our Give Butter Campaign.
